Who doesn't love a well-loved, incredible-sounding vintage Martin? This one has just enough honest wear and tear to make you wonder about its story, especially since it comes with the original case and the original paperwork with the matching serial number. This one came to us as a diamond in the rough, but we knew this ole gal had more to offer than she was letting on. We went ahead and invested in a full overhaul: (photos taken before repairs) full refret, new nut, neck reset, bridge reglue, and repaired the bridgeplate using the StewMac method. We also moved the saddle to correct the intonation while we were at it. After all that work, she plays effortlessly and sounds so good! Could you buy a brand-new model for this price? Sure, but you would completely miss out on the incredible broken in sound and undeniable vintage vibe this old box has to offer.
