FAQ
- Where are you located? 129 N. Broad St. Monroe, GA 30655 in the Eulalia Building.
- What is my guitar worth? There are are several factors, #1 being what is the market saying i.e.. Reverb, eBay and various guitar buy/sell forums etc. Please remember that these are asking prices on many of these sites, and not actual sold prices. The prices are also inflated to factor in sales commission on the site's behalf. For example, Reverb charges roughly the seller 9% and eBay around 16% etc. #2 What is the condition, and does it need any repairs? These repairs can vary from $100-$1500 depending on what it needs, but some may not need any. If it's 20 years old or older there is a good chance it's in need of a neck reset if one hasn't been done already and this can cost $500-$700 by itself. At the end of the day in most cases your guitar is still worth good money even when it shows wear and needs repair.
- Will you sell my guitar for me? Yes, as long as it's USA made and has a street value of $500 or more we will be happy to consign it for you for 15-25% and can even handle shipping. There are also a few foreign brands we will also buy and sell at our discretion as there are a few top-notch companies out there besides USA made.
- Why sell to Boss Vintage over trying to sell myself? There are a lot of grey areas in the sale of used acoustic guitars and it requires a lot of technical questions to be answered by the seller, that the average player may or may not be able to answer, not to mention tire kickers and other headaches etc. Let us take the guess work out and buy or consign your instrument all while supporting local business and keeping you from having to sit on it waiting to sell.
- Do you do repairs? Not currently for the general public, but we do repair/service our inventory with the help of a local guitar builder/luthier.
