We are super excited to have this guitar come through the shop, as most folks including us have never seen one in person until recently. Mossman Guitars have a very interesting history throughout the 1970's, producing approximately 6000 guitars through the course of its history, coming to a tragic end due to a couple of major setbacks. One being a fire that caused them to lose a large supply of their highly prized toonwoods and the other a distributor storage facility that ruined much of their inventory.

This particular model is a joy to look at as much as it is to play and the interior label is hand initialed by every worker in their shop at that time, including Stuart Mossman!  From the unique rope like purfling, to the ornate pickguard and headstock, this guitar is a for sure head turner and conversation piece at your next jam!

Condition wise, you couldn't ask for better for a 50-year-old guitar. The only thing to mention is there's a 2" hairline top crack on the right lower bout that we're fairly certain doesn't even go all the way through but has been cleated and is of no concern in the slightest. Guitar has a great neck angle and is set up well and easy to play. Endpin is drilled for a pickup but currently has a nice matching ebony plug/strap button.

Sound wise, being a long scale straight braced guitar, it is very powerful and responds well to a heavy hand, cuts very well and is surprisingly responsive, even with medium gauge strings.
