1944 was the last year of Martin dreadnoughts with all the original goodies and a few unique ones of their own.  This particular example is a factory scalloped braced guitar, as well as having an ebony truss rod, Adirondak spruce top, ebony fingerboard and bridge!  This one is in unbelievably great shape and sounds absolutely incredible in all ways! Effortless playability all up and down the neck!  Neck has been reset, bridge replaced (probably due to previous bridge being bolted down/plugged holes in bridgeplate). Frets have plenty of height and are in great shape, small maple bridgeplate overlay, resto tuners(originals incl.). Hairline center seam separation just below bridge, roughly an inch long, but has been glued and cleated to prevent further separation.  2” long hair like crack to left of bridge foot, appears to be surface only. 2” long back crack that appears to be a very minor surface level crack as well, possibly just in finish and does not appear to go all the way through. Small repaired crack starting at high E tuner screw hole extending aprox. 1/2” below tuner. Possible old refin, plenty of checking throughout. Low action with a taller saddle, room for adjustment in either direction. The guitar responds extremely well to all styles of playing! This is a MUST play guitar that undoubtedly speaks for itself, not lacking in ANY department! Please give us a call if your interested in purchasing.

At this time the only trades/trade ins we are considering on this particular guitar, are Martin and Gibson acoustics 1950’s and older.
